For sale is a matched antique bedroom set by Marvel Furniture Company of Jamestown, New York.
The set includes:
• High chest/chiffonier
• Matching dresser/bureau
• Original manufacturer labels on both pieces
• Original key included
• Original wooden casters/rollers
• Original wooden drawer pulls and locks
These pieces feature attractive period styling with curved drawer fronts, carved feet, and original hardware. The set retains a nice aged appearance and has not been stripped or heavily altered.
Condition is very good overall for age. The cases are solid and present well. Finish shows normal wear consistent with age and use. One issue to note is that some drawer bottoms on the chest need minor attention, as they can slide out of their grooves. Otherwise, the pieces are sturdy and functional.
This is a great opportunity to acquire a matching early 20th century American bedroom suite from a documented Jamestown, NY maker.
Selling as a matched set. I would prefer not to separate.
